Requests for consultancy services feasibility studies East Africa hydro at tea estates

The East African Tea Trade Association (EATTA) invites bids the feasibility studies of 6 small hydro projects in East Africa.
The East African Tea Trade Association (EATTA) which is an executing agency for the Global Environment Facility (GEF) funded Small Hydropower initiative Greening the Tea Industry in East Africa (GTIEA) project invites bids the feasibility studies of 6 small hydro projects.

It concerns the following services::
  • Lot 1: Carrying out Feasibility Study for three (3) Small Hydropower Project sites in Kenya
  • Lot 2: Carrying out Feasibility Study for three (3) Small Hydropower Project sites located in Tanzania, Malawi, & Rwanda

Tender document detailing the requirements can be obtained in both hard copy and soft copy formats from the office of PMO Director, GTIEA Project Management Office within EATTA Secretariat (Tea Trade Center, Nyerere Avenue, Mombasa) on normal working days (Monday – Friday) from 29th February, 2008 between 08:00 Hrs and 16:30 Hrs upon payment of a non-refundable fee of US$100.00 each Lot. Payment shall be made through Banker’s Cheque in favor of East African Tea Trade Association.

Completed bids in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked with the “Tender Reference and Item Description” as more particularly described in the Tender Document should be addressed to:

The bids should be deposited at GTIEA Project Management Office, situated within EATTA premises, Tea Trade Center, Nyerere Avenue, City of Mombasa, Kenya on or before the closing date 21st April 2008 at 14:00 hrs.

Bids will be opened as per information and instructions described in the tender document on the same day at 14:30 hrs at the GTIEA PMO Auditorium, and bidders or their representatives who wish to witness the opening are welcome to do so at their own costs.
