Zutari Eswatini appointed as Owner’s Engineer for Lower Maguduza

Zutari Eswatini has been appointed as the Owner’s Engineer for the 13.5 MW Lower Maguduza Hydropower Scheme, which will be developed on the Lusutfu River, approximately five kilometers west of Sidvokodvo.

The project will span a 25-month construction period, followed by a 24-month defects notification phase. Zutari’s role will cover project management, construction monitoring, commissioning support, and compliance with grid regulations. The company will also oversee design reviews, milestone scheduling, and final project handover.

The Lower Maguduza Hydro Power Station will feature a diversion weir, a 66kV transmission line extending two kilometers, a footbridge across the dam, and substation upgrades. It will be integrated into the power network at Sidvokodvo Substation.
