UNIDO is seeking consulting services to conduct a comprehensive baseline assessment of the Small Hydropower (SHP) landscape within the ECCAS region and to create a strategic roadmap for catalyzing investments. The goal is to enhance access to climate-resilient, low-carbon energy systems and support regional economic and industrial development.

Objectives & Expected Deliverables
The scope includes:
- Conducting a needs assessment of SHP investments across the ECCAS region.
- Developing a regional roadmap with clear strategies, policy recommendations, and an implementation/monitoring framework.
- Organizing a validation workshop for regional stakeholders and capacity-building training on SHP.
Deliverables will include:
1. Baseline Needs Assessment Report: Review of policies, market conditions, and identified SHP sites.
2. Regional Roadmap: Strategic plans for SHP upscaling, including monitoring frameworks and key performance indicators.
3. Capacity-Building Workshop Report: Insights and recommendations from stakeholder engagement and training activities.
Deliverables will be in French and English.
