UNIDO is seeking a hydropower (particularly small/mini/pico hydro) company or consortia to carry out detailed feasibility studies, and provide cost estimates for the development of three (3) identied sites: Owena Dam, Itapaji Dam and Asop Fall SHP sites in Nigeria.
The study is expected to adequately address the technical, economic and financial aspects at the sites. The selected service provider is required to conduct field visits, design and formulate a viable small hydropower schematics and design document.
The following scope of services is proposed to achieve the objective of the assignment, which shall include, but not be limited to the following activities outlined below:
- Carry out the detailed survey of the sites. Key tasks to be executed shall include; topographic, hydrologic and geotechnical investigations, flood discharge, access to site, power evacuation, construction materials, preliminary environmental and social impact assessment.
- Preparation of feasibility study report, as well as detailed engineering design for the civil works and associated drawings for each component of the scheme. The design elements shall include but are not limited to; powerhouse, water intake, tailrace, penstock, access roads, cost estimates, construction management, economic and financial evaluation, electro-mechanical equipment, substation and transmission.
